What Our Students Say
Why Earn A Systems Engineering Degree? (1:05)
Listen to Troy Klammer, an engineer from Woodward Governor Co., talk about how our online master's degree in Systems Engineering is helping him succeed in his job. [Transcript]
The bigger systems perspective is really needed to meet different requirements of different markets. It's a lot better to get extensive training with more depth in an academic setting, and then being able to reinforce course material with real world stuff. The overview of the process, and the depth of knowledge about the process, could be really useful to apply to our group. I've already learned things from this program that I can take right to my job. This is a really great opportunity for someone looking to move up in the field.

– Steve Brandl, Engine Application Engineer, Woodward Governor
In order for Woodward to stay competitive in the marketplace we need engineers who can go beyond the traditional disciplines of Electrical and Mechanical engineering. Woodward needs engineers who can understand the impact of their decisions on a customer’s entire system. We view the System Engineering Program at Colorado State University as a perfect training ground for this cadre of engineers we will need to be successful.
– Douglas W. Salter, Group Director of Systems and Projects, Woodward - Engine Systems
Transforming today's electric power system into an intelligent network capable of generating, distributing, and consuming power anywhere within the system based on clean energy sources, real-time information, and market-driven transactions is a daunting engineering task. Colorado State University's Systems Engineering program addresses the challenges of designing and building such complex engineered systems.
– Dr. Sunil Cherian, President and CEO, Spirae, Inc.
