This professional degree, shaped by input from industry and government leaders, is course work only and does not require the completion of a thesis or professional paper. This provides a time-effective way for you to obtain advanced training in the field of systems engineering.

You may start this degree without being admitted to Colorado State University by earning a Systems Engineering Certificate. With this certificate, you will gain a valuable credential without the full commitment of a degree program. The four courses required for the certificate are core courses for the degree and will count toward the degree. Please note that in order for all four courses to apply toward the degree, you must be admitted to CSU before taking the fourth course.
