Degree Overview

Rangeland management is a unique discipline that blends science and management for the purpose of sustaining our valuable land. The primary goal is to protect and enhance a sustainable ecosystem that provides forage for wildlife and livestock, clean water, and recreation on public and private land.

This interdisciplinary, conservation-oriented degree provides you with a working knowledge base and techniques related to the structure, function, and management of rangeland ecosystems, including assessment, planning, monitoring, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Degree Benefits

With advanced training in natural resource management concepts and procedures, you are prepared for a career with a variety of private organizations and government agencies as a land manager, scientist, educator, producer, or conservationist charged with the proper use and management of rangelands that are vitally important to society. Delivery

Required courses are delivered online. Elective courses are delivered via DVD/VCD or correspondence. On-campus attendance is not required to complete this program.

Time Frame

Can be completed in two years. Program duration may vary based on previous course work, intensity of study, and course availability. Summer courses are not required.

What You Will Earn

You will earn the same regionally accredited Colorado State University degree that a student on the Fort Collins campus is awarded. Your diploma and transcript are identical to those given to on-campus students.
