Alina M. Waite is an Instructor in the Organizational Performance and Change program at Colorado State University where she teaches Performance Consulting and Causal Analysis, Action Research and Learning Transfer. Alina is also currently a Ph.D. candidate in the OPC program at CSU. The subject of her dissertation is on performance improvement, process improvement, relationship and process mapping, and analysis. Alina's other areas of research and professional interests include performance management, team development and technical innovation.
Alina has over fifteen years of experience working in the health care industry and served in a variety of leadership capacities both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to moving to Colorado to pursue her Ph.D. degree, she was the Director of Research and Development of an international organization specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of medical devices. In this role Alina was responsible for managing the product pipeline and budgetary and staffing issues as well as overseeing the general operations of the R&D facility in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Alina earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico with a Biomedical Engineering option and a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Alina worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Anatomy, UNM School of Medicine, and the Department of Orthopedic Research, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, respectively.
