The Learning Experience
The Master of Music in Music Therapy provides advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy for Board Certified Music Therapists (or international equivalent). In addition to training in Neurologic Music Therapy, you complete course work in music, research methods, and neuroscience.
This graduate degree is delivered mostly online with three required extended weekend on-campus visits in Fort Collins. These weekends, from Thursday to Sunday, include training that is not possible to receive online.
This program gives you the flexibility to get the degree you want without a strict timeline, but keep in mind it still requires the same amount of work and time as an on-campus program. We recommend you allow nine to twelve hours per week for a three-credit course. This will vary depending on your learning and studying style.
Your interactions with the faculty depend on the specific course, but online courses provide online office hours. You also collaborate on projects and exchange ideas with fellow classmates through email and discussion board postings.
