Admission and Application

The Liberal Arts (B.A.) degree completion program is designed for you if you have completed at least 60 semester hours of transferable college credit with a GPA of 2.0 or better. Although this program works particularly well for students who have completed an associate degree in this field, an associate’s degree is not required for admittance into this program.

Transcript Evaluation

Prior transcripts are evaluated to determine academic status in relation to satisfying degree program requirements, including both general education courses equivalent to Colorado State core curriculum and all prerequisites for upper-division, junior- and senior-level work. Students are encouraged to complete any outstanding general education courses and lower-division prerequisites as they pursue formal admission to Colorado State University. You are allowed to repeat courses if necessary.

How to Apply

  1. Contact Frances Betts (information listed on the left of this page) for more information as well as an eligibility and transfer evaluation.
    • Download the check sheet to assist with this process.
    • Mail transcripts to Frances Betts, Colorado State University, 1040 Campus Delivery, Fort Collins, CO, 80523-1040.
  2. You will be contacted to make an appointment to meet with an advisor, by phone or in person, to discuss your initial plan of study and current placement in the program.
  3. Apply for admission to the University.
  4. Once admitted to the program, contact Blane Harding, program advisor, (information listed on the left of this page) to verify your first semester's courses.
