Minimum Admission Requirements
The Human Development and Family Studies (B.S.) degree completion program requires that you have completed:
- 60 semester hours of transferable college credit with a GPA of 2.0 or better.
OR - An associate's degree at the community college level. An AA in Early Childhood Education from a Colorado community college provides the greatest transferability of credits.
Transcript Evaluation
Your prior transcripts are evaluated to determine academic status in relation to satisfying degree requirements, including both general education courses equivalent to All University Core Curriculum and all prerequisites for upper-division, junior-, and senior-level work. You are encouraged to complete any outstanding general education courses and lower-division prerequisites as you pursue formal admission to Colorado State University.

- Mail transcripts to Frances Betts, Colorado State University, 1040 Campus Delivery, Fort Collins, CO, 80523-1040.
- You will be contacted to make an appointment to meet with a Center for Advising and Achievement (CASA) advisor, by phone or in person, to discuss your initial plan of study and current placement in the program.
- Apply for admission to the University.
- Once admitted to the program, contact Anne Van Arsdall, HDFS Key Advisor, (information listed on the left of this page) to verify your first semester's courses.

Delivery
Online. On-campus attendance is not required to complete this program.

120 credits (a minimum of 60 credits must be transferred into the program)

Time Frame
The program duration will vary based on your learning style, intensity of study, previous course work, and career objectives. Summer courses are not required although most courses are available during summer.

Individuals working with young children and families in various settings who wish to expand their professional options.
What You Will Earn
You will earn the same regionally accredited Colorado State University degree that a student on the Fort Collins campus is awarded. Your diploma and transcript are identical to those given to on-campus students.
