Educational Leadership, Renewal, and Change Teacher Licensure and Master of Education in Education and Human Resource Studies
This specialization is designed for individuals preparing for leadership positions in education. Program participants will:
- Develop the leadership skills to direct educational programs.
- Become facilitators of educational change.
- Implement new approaches to solving the problems confronting education.
This cohort-based M.Ed. program focuses on the development and licensing of teachers who have already received their undergraduate degrees in specific content areas. The need for this program is based on the desire to develop mature, highly qualified teachers whose practice is grounded in research and theory. The program will foster an understanding of strong pedagogical skills, as well as a deep understanding of effective theories of learning. The program will strive to meet the growing needs of schools for highly qualified teachers, including those in high-demand areas such as science, technology, engineering, and math.

Spring (Phase III)
- EDUC 687E – Internship II: Student Teaching (12 cr.)
- EDUC 693B – Seminar: Instruction (1 cr.)
- EDRM 600 – Introduction to Research Methods (3 cr.)

Summer (Phase IV)
- EDUC 573 – Differentiating Instruction for Diverse Needs (3 cr.)
