Degree Requirements and Curriculum
Requirements
This degree requires 41 graduate level credits be completed for the teacher licensure and master's degree. In addition, an internship in student teaching is also required. The program is designed in a cohort-based format to ensure these requirements are met.

Summer (Phase I)
- EDUC 625 – Context of Schooling (3 cr.)
- EDUC 628 – Models of Teaching (3 cr.)
Fall (Phase II)
- EDUC 525A – Interdisciplinary Methods (3 cr.)
- EDUC 525D – Expert Teaching in Reading, Literacy and Numeracy (3 cr.)
- EDUC 687D – Internship I Teacher Licensure (var. cr.)
- EDUC 693B – Seminar: Instruction (var. cr.)
Spring (Phase III)
- EDUC 687E – Internship II: Teacher Licensure (12 cr.)
- EDUC 693B – Seminar: Instruction (1 cr.)
- EDRM 602 – Action Research (3 cr.)
Summer (Phase IV)
- EDUC 573 – Differentiating Instruction for Diverse Needs (3 cr.)

The Learning Experience
Our classes are taught in high school classroom settings to provide maximum time in real classrooms with real educational experiences.
Degree at a Glance
Location
Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins, CO and Adams City High School in Commerce City, CO. Courses are offered on-site at local schools with some online components. On-campus attendance is required to complete this program.

$355 per credit (financial aid available)
Time Frame
Program duration is a minimum of one year and depends on whether your area of teaching interest matches your undergraduate degree. Contact the academic advisor to review your transcripts and determine whether additional credits are required for your content area.
Summer courses are required to complete this program. As a cohort program, the same group of students begins, proceeds through, and completes the program together. The next cohort begins Summer 2010.
