Degree Requirements and Curriculum
Requirements
This degree requires 24 graduate level credits be completed for the principal licensure, or 36 credits for the master's degree and principal licensure. The program is designed in a cohort-based format to ensure these requirements are met.

Summer (Phase I)
- EDUC 645 – Leadership and Ethics in Public Education (3 cr.)
- EDUC 646 – School Resource Management (3 cr.)
- EDUC 647 – School Culture, Climate, and Communications (3 cr.)
Fall (Phase II)
- EDUC 610 – Supervision and Evaluation (3 cr.)
- EDUC 687B – Principal - Internship (3 cr.)
- EDUC 648A – Role of the Principal - Professional Learning Community (1 cr.)
Spring (Phase III)
- EDUC 648B – Role of the Principal - Seminar (1 cr.)
- EDUC 687B – Principal - Internship (3 cr.)
- EDUC 618 – School Law (3 cr.)
Summer (Phase IV)
- EDUC 648C – Role of the Principal – Capstone Seminar (1 cr.)

The Learning Experience
The program is designed to be completed while teaching full-time. The program is offered in Longmont, Colorado at St. Vrain School district to be conveniently located for individuals already in the education field.

$355 per credit (financial aid available)
Time Frame
Program can be completed in one year. Summer courses are required to complete this program. As a cohort program, the same group of students begins, proceeds through, and completes the program together. The next cohort begins Summer 2010.

This program is designed for two different audiences:
Individuals who have a master's degree and are only seeking a principal licensure.
OR
Individuals seeking a master's degree in Educational Leadership, Renewal and Change as well as a principal licensure.
What You Will Earn
You will earn the same regionally accredited Colorado State University degree that a student on the Fort Collins campus is awarded. Your diploma and transcript are identical to those given to on-campus students.
