STAT 315 - Statistics for Engineers and Scientists

Prerequisite

MATH 161 (Calculus for Physical Scientists II) or MATH 255 (Calculus for Biological Scientists). Credit allowed for only one course: STAT 301 (Introduction to Statistical Methods), STAT 307/ERHS 307 (Introduction to Biostatistics), STAT 319 (Statistics for Engineers and Scientists), STAT 311 (Statistics for Behavioral Sciences I).

Description

Calculus-based probability and statistics: distribution theory, estimation, hypothesis testing, applications to engineering and the sciences.

No software is required. However, it is recommended that students use Minitab.

Meets All-University Core Curriculum 2B Logical /Critical Thinking.

This course has an online component delivered through RamCT.
