SOCR 301 - Seed Germination and Viability

Prerequisite

SOCR 201 (Seed Development and Metabolism) or written consent of the instructor.

Description

This course introduces germination and other seed viability testing. Students become familiar with the source of the germination working sample, the AOSA rules for performing the standard germination test, planting the test, evaluating the seedlings, and reporting the results.

Six proctored exams are required.

This course will prepare those interested in the Seed Analysis Training profession for the AOSA or SCST certification examinations.

The online version of this course must be completed within six months. No time extension is allowed.
