This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University.
Workshop Overview: This workshop will introduce you to the ease of putting pen to paper for its own sake. Participants will explore myths about writing, suggestions for a safe and satisfying writing practice, as well as hints and specific exercises--quick and simple--to get you started or to expand your writing experience.
Note: This is not a requirement for the 6-week course starting Thursday, October 25.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
Instructors
Joannah L. Merriman, M.A. is a psychotherapist, educator, and journal therapist in private practice. She has kept a journal for 50 years and has presented workshops and seminars locally since 1979, and nationally since 1993. She writes for herself and others at her home and studio just outside Fort Collins, Colorado, where she lives with her partner Neil P., three dogs, two cats, and a multitude of writing implements and paper!
