This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University.

While this Speakers' Series is free and open to the public, OLLI is advertising it for a small fee that will pay for parking permits. Once you register, we will mail you four parking passes. If you already have a parking sticker or opt to not park in a faculty lot, you may simply attend these courses at no charge

Facilitator: Dr. Robert Zimdahl, who was instrumental in founding the Society for Senior Scholars, organized this series.

Four-Session Series:

  • September 20 - THURSDAY - Mr. Mark Easter, Sierra Club, Glade Reservoir and Other Environmental Issues (Lory Student Center, Grey Rock Room)
  • October 17 - Ms. Laura Pritchett, local author of Hell's Bottom and Sky Bridge will speak about her writing (Lory Student Center, Room 213-215)
  • November 14 - Dr. Gerald Callahan, Associate Professor of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology and Associate Professor of English, Sex, Infection, and Immunity: The Truth about Human Beings (Lory Student Center, Room 213-215)
  • December 19 - Dr. Scott Denning, Associate Professor of Atmospheric Science, Climate and Climate Change (Lory Student Center, Room 213-215)

Instructors

Robert Zimdahl

Robert Zimdahl, Ph.D., one of the founders of the CSU Senior Scholars' program, is a retired professor of Weed Science in the Department of Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management.

Dr. Zimdahl also served as Editor of the professional journal entitled Weed Science for over a decade and has been an integral part of International programs at Colorado State University. He has been given many awards by various entities that have recognized his teaching, research and service contributions.
