EDUC 591E - Workshop: Learning Science Through Inquiry
2 Credits / Spring 2010
Delivery/Location: Annenberg Media
Many teachers hesitate to teach science through inquiry because they did not learn this way themselves, either as students or during their preparation to become teachers. This workshop demonstrates inquiry teaching and learning in real classrooms, helping participants to understand the process and how it benefits students. It also provides strategies to incorporate inquiry learning in the classroom for teachers who have already experimented with inquiry teaching and want to enhance their practice, or are new to the approach and want to know how to make it work.
This video workshop for K-8 teachers consists of eight one-hour video programs, an online workshop guide. Review the coursework requirements and the supporting website for more information.
Annenberg Media (formerly Annenberg/CPB) funds and distributes multimedia professional development courses and resources to advance excellent teaching in American schools.
