EDUC 591E - Workshop: Private Universe Project in Science
2 Credits / Spring 2010
Delivery/Location: Annenberg Media
This workshop for K-12 educators uncovers the reasons why teaching science is so difficult and offers practical advice to help teach more effectively. Each program focuses on one theme (e.g., Hands on Learning) and one content area and uses specific examples to show how students' preconceived ideas can create critical barriers to learning. Education experts review teaching strategies and their results and recommend ways to involve students and approach difficult topics.
This video workshop for grade consists of nine 90-minute video programs, an online workshop guide. Review the coursework requirements and the supporting website for more information.
