Description

ECON 306 is targeted toward economics majors and anyone interested in different market structures from a microeconomics perspective.

Students develop a deeper understanding of how individuals and firms make economic decisions and how these two groups interact in the perfect competition market. By using graphs and equations, students illustrate and strengthen their understanding of basic microeconomics concepts. The different market structures and the effects they have on agents and their actions are discussed. At the conclusion of the course, students are equipped with the fundamental tools for analyzing noncompetitive markets in terms of efficiency of resource utilization. In addition, because of analyzing real-world examples and current issues by economic viewpoints, complex economic relations are synthesized into simple and manageable economic models.
