In this module, organizational adaptability and capacity building, which are primary enablers for innovation, will be explored. Elements required for innovation will be discussed, including: leadership, work environment, structure, processes, and the different types of thinking needed. Further, participants will apply strategies that facilitate responses to novel problems or situations, and develop and exploit creativity.

Instructors

Pamela Dixon

Pam has a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, a Masters degree in Instructional Technology and Adult Education from the University of MN, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University.

In addition to her formal education, Pam has gained extensive experience while serving both public and private organizations, as well as state government as an internal Organizational Development (OD) practitioner, external OD consultant, and she has served in the roles of Human Resources Manager and Director.
