BSLL 1076 - Leadership Skills for Managers and Team Leaders

If management includes planning, organizing, directing, and controlling what more could leaders do? Even organized plans go wrong. Sometimes large organizations are well-directed and controlled but lose ground in the marketplace. It is the leader who gives the vision and the reason for all the management activities. After a vision or mission is crystallized so that all can see it the leader sets the example. This course tackles methods, theories, and intense case studies. In this course you will mold valuable theory into practical outlets. Practice simulations conducted in this class provide an opportunity for you to improve your leadership skills.

Rick holds Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and French, and a Master's Degree in Business Behavior Analysis. He has held management positions at Fortune 500 companies such as National Semiconductor and Intel. He has also consulted for IBM, HP, Apple, the IRS, Lucasfilm, Visa, and other public private firms.
