BSLL 1071 - Assertiveness Skills for Leaders

Noncredit / Fall 2009

Delivery/Location: Loveland

Here's a smart mix of the tools and inventories people need to approach mastery. These skills explore the "code" of human interactions. If each individual makes up the team, then these components make the person. Often without saying it, everyone wants to polish skills in speaking up, communicating, and "greasing the wheel" of getting things done through people. Dozens of hours are wasted each week when team members lack these skills. This course teaches how "face time" and "web time" become more efficient and effective when people know and use the skills that work.

Learning Modules:

  • Passive, Assertive and Aggressive Styles
  • Assertiveness Inventory
  • High Technology Assertiveness
  • Model for Effective Communication
  • Communication Barriers
  • Listening Skills Inventory
  • Skills for Conflict Situations
  • People Skills Inventory
