This course is one of three courses designed to help you learn what's involved in starting a small business, how to plan and finance that business, and basics of setting up a website and eCommerce functions for that business.
The Internet is changing the way business is done. With a couple of clicks you can buy merchandise from across the world, and have it shipped to you overnight. The web can also help your existing business market, sell products and share information to perspective customers.
The six lesson modules are each designed to introduce one category of the most important facets of e-business.
A typical lesson module includes:
- A list of the lesson's objectives and outcomes.
- Lesson text and web links for reading and research.
- Interactive and/or reflective exercise(s).
- Additional web links for further reading and reference.
- Assignment(s) to actively continue your business strategy development and foster your involvement in the e-business world.
This course was specifically designed to be a self-study course, completed at your pace and your convenience. YOU are the final evaluator of your success; no assignments need to be turned in, and there is no formal evaluation. The goal is simply to help you systematically work through the steps of developing a small business.
Although most students finish the course quickly, students are given access to the course for six months after registration to use the course materials as a reference.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
