Certificate Overview

With this four-course certificate, you will gain graduate-level training in the most important core concepts of statistical theory and methods. The program enables students to quickly learn the critical components of the longer Master of Science program.

You will be prepared to develop methods to explain quantitative patterns observed in the social, physical, and natural sciences, in business and industry.

This certificate is a companion to the Statistics Master's Degree and these certificate courses can be applied toward the degree.

Requirements

The program requires a strong math background including three semesters of college-level calculus, one semester of linear algebra or matrix theory, and one semester of advanced calculus/introductory analysis; 3-6 credits of undergraduate statistics are also recommended. Students must earn an overall minimum 3.0 GPA in the program to earn the certificate.

Courses already taken by distance through Department of Statistics at Colorado State University can be applied to this certificate. Please note that we do not accept transfer courses toward this certificate.
