Certificate Overview

This certificate will teach you principles of residential interiors and principles of design in a series of three courses. You will gain functional knowledge to evaluate:

  • Residential Design
  • Floor Plans
  • Furniture Arrangements
  • Circulation Patterns
  • Use of Color
  • Lighting Design
  • Elements and Principles of Design Applied to Interiors

With this combination of formal education and functional knowledge, you will be prepared for career advancement in a range of fields that relate to residential interiors, including family and consumer science educations, real estate, and interior design.

Requirements

Admission to Colorado State is not required to complete this certificate. The Residential Interiors Certificate requires successful completion of three courses (nine credits total):
