Certificate Overview
Through this series of three courses, new postsecondary instructors acquire practical overviews of effective teaching models, ideas for engaging students while meeting learning objectives, and approaches to promote critical and creative thinking. The curriculum gives experienced instructors the opportunity to update and energize their teaching repertoires and connect personal knowledge with established research on effective classroom practices.
Benefits & Outcomes
You will be prepared to become more accomplished leaders or to seek more advanced administrative leadership roles in higher education. You will able to lead with a commitment to access, learning, institutional mission, quality, and educational outcomes.
Build your educational background by earning graduate credit for advanced course work in postsecondary instructional innovation and effectiveness, and apply it to your Master's or Ph.D.
Curriculum
As graduate courses, each should meet state guidelines for recertification.
As an experienced instructor in the Vet Tech program at the Community College of Denver, I am always looking for new ways to add new and innovative techniques to my classes. CSU has created a winning combination with cutting-edge technology for online delivery, strong curriculum, reasonable pricing, and a supportive and friendly faculty and staff. My philosophy to "Keep Learning" was easily achieved through this program. Thank you, Colorado State!
