Agricultural Business

Transcript Text

Dr. Marshall Fraiser (Agricultural and Resource Economics)

We are very excited about our degree completion program in agricultural business. Our goal is to provide you with an academic core that will lead you to success while giving you flexibility to select courses that fit your needs.

A lot of thought has gone into the design in this program of study. The core program focuses on business management, primarily applied to producing and marketing agricultural products. We develop a base set of skills in business management and economic theory. These give you a framework to address the broad set of issues and management problems that ag-related businesses face daily with particular focus in business management, marketing, finance, and public policy. Instead of just giving you answers to today's economic issues and problems, we want to help you master the tools needed to solve the new questions and problems that you will encounter in the future, questions that haven't even been asked yet.

This degree completion program is designed for students who have completed 60 credit hours, transferable college credit, particularly those who have earned an associate's degree. We need a GPA of 2.0 or better, and, ideally, a program that emphasized agriculture or business. If your academic background is different, it is not a deal breaker, but we will need to discuss your background and course work. Regardless of your history, we would be happy to evaluate your transcripts to see how well your course work matches up against the degree requirements for our program. Check the degree requirements, and you will find there is a significant choice of courses that give you a number of options. To earn the degree, you will need a total of 42 credits of upper division course work, and you must earn at least 30 credits of your program at Colorado State University.

I encourage you to get in touch with us so that we can work out your degree plan and to help you apply for admission to Colorado State University.
