Continuing Education Professor Recognized With Lifetime Achievement Award

Jerry W. Gilley, professor of the Organizational Performance and Change Degree, was recently recognized with a lifetime achievement award as the Outstanding Human Resource Development Scholar 2008 by the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD).

The award, presented in February during the AHRD annual conference, is given to an outstanding human resource development scholar who has demonstrated a continuing record of scholarly productivity and influence in the profession.

Gilley, who chairs the Organizational Performance and Change program, was nominated based on his substantial contributions to human resource development. His contributions include co-authoring over 50 publications, original research and theoretical contributions, 48 book chapters and 8 referred conference papers. Gilley has also authored 20 books including core texts that are currently being used in graduate human resource development programs throughout the United States.
