Frequently Asked Questions
Exams and Proctors
How are exams taken?
Most courses require proctored examinations. Proctors are individuals who agree to administer the examination to the student following the guidelines provided by Colorado State. Exams or passwords are mailed or emailed directly to your proctor, so please contact your proctor prior to your exam arriving.
Online courses offered through RamCT may have slightly varied exams for each student in order to maintain the integrity of the exam process. Online exams are typically graded minutes after the exam is completed.
Is there anywhere on the CSU campus that I can get an exam proctored?
Yes, we currently proctor exams in our office in Spruce Hall. You will still need to fill out your Proctor Agreement form to have exams sent to our office. You will also need to call in advance to schedule an appointment to come in and take your test. Please give us a call at (970) 491-5288.
The testing center in the Clark building can also be used as a proctor for online/distance courses. Their number is (970) 491-6498.
